West Orange Kids
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
The short version
West Orange Kids is a free weekly email newsletter about kid-focused events in West Orange County, Florida. We collect as little as possible: your email address if you subscribe, and anonymous, aggregate website traffic stats. We never sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers. Ever.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you sign up for the newsletter on this site.
- Anonymous website analytics — things like how many people visited the site and which pages they viewed, in aggregate. These stats can't identify you personally.
That's it. No accounts, no passwords, no payment information, no tracking of what you do on other websites.
How we use it
- To send you the West Orange Kids newsletter each week.
- To understand, in aggregate, how the website is used so we can make it better.
Who helps us run things
Two services process data on our behalf:
- Kit — our email provider. Kit handles the signup forms, stores subscriber email addresses, and sends the newsletter.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and provides its privacy-first Web Analytics. Cloudflare's analytics use no cookies and don't track you across sites.
This website itself sets no tracking cookies.
Event submissions
If you send us an event through the "Know an event we should list?" form, we receive the details you provide — the event name, a link, and anything else you include. We use that only to consider and publish the listing; sending an event does not subscribe you to the newsletter. When you do subscribe, Kit first sends a confirmation email to verify your address before adding you.
Unsubscribing and deleting your information
Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link — one click and you won't hear from us again. If you'd like your email address deleted from our records entirely, just email hello@westorangekids.com and we'll remove it.
A note about kids
West Orange Kids is written for parents and caregivers. The events we list are for children, but the newsletter and this website are for grown-ups — please don't sign up anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and note the new date at the top. Significant changes will also be mentioned in the newsletter.
